Introducing the CME VX-series Control Surface Plugin for Cakewalk™ software.

LoudCry Software is proud to present the VX-series plugin for compatible Cakewalk™ products, such as SONAR™ and Project5™. Cakewalk has built an incredible amount of functionality into its control surface interface, but until now, few control surface plugins took advantage of more than a small fraction of that power. On the other hand, the CME VX-series is the most advanced integrated keyboard/control surface ever made, but it lacks proper software support. It does an admirable job of emulating a Mackie Control Universal™ but frankly, it isn't an MCU. It has a different arrangement of controls, and can do some things the MCU can't. The VX plugin fills the gap, at least for Cakewalk products. Most importantly, the VX plugin fully supports ACT. ACT is a feature unique to modern Cakewalk DAW/Sequencer software that automatically remaps controls on a surface to the controls in the active plugin window. Just open a synth plugin, for example, and the control surface is now mapped to the controls in that synth. A simple 'ACT Learn' function allows you to decide which control on your surface is mapped to each control in the synth or effect. Do this once, and from then on, every time you open that synth or effect (even in other projects) the control surface will remember the correct mapping. This feature makes mixing, sound shaping, and effect tweaking a breeze with a control surface like the VX. Sadly, most control surface plugins don't support ACT. Well, this one does! Even better, since the VX has motorized faders and encoder knobs, you never need to worry about controls 'jumping' when you move a fader or knob. As soon as you open the plugin window, the faders will instantly move to the correct position reflecting the current value of those controls.
